Cilicuka is based on Shermay’s grandma’s much-loved heirloom recipe, handed down over half a century. Fresh chillies and rice vinegar pack a tangy zing with moderate heat. Dollop or drizzle onto kueh pie tee and popiah, or use as a dipping sauce for keropok (crackers), noodles, rice and your favourite Asian fried savoury snacks, like fried chicken, spring rolls, fish balls, ngoh hiang, etc. Add a squeeze of lime for natural citrusy zing! Cilicuka Very Hot has both regular chillies and cili padi (birds eye chillies), it has both chilli flavour and heat.
